Again and again guests ask whether we realise just how beautiful the area we live in is. Yach, set in the Southern Black Forest nature park, is a small secluded spot in the thicket of the German road network – and lies within one of the great natural landscapes of Germany not crossed by any major road.
At the beginning of the last century, no one got round to putting a through road into the valley – today the people of Yach are glad of it, and proud of their untouched landscape. Even so, getting here is easy: Freiburg is a mere 25 minutes away by car. Lying on the steeper western slopes of the Black Forest, you enjoy both the almost Mediterranean climate of the Breisgau and the rugged mountain climate of the Black Forest heights.
